Job evaluation
Job evaluation assigns a relative value to each job in the workplace. The basic principle is the allocation of an objective score in accordance with a variety of criteria or indicators that define the difficulty of the job, and thus its earning coefficients. The importance of Job evaluation is that it provides a basis for a fair system of earnings. Job evaluation project yields the coefficients that will be assigned to each individual job.
The system used by TIM Centar includes 15 relevant criteria for evaluation, grouped under four major categories: competence, the demands of the job, responsibility and working conditions. It is important to note that the criteria must be varied if all jobs are to be allotted a score. Management, for instance, will be given higher scores on indicators such as competence and responsibility, while blue collar job positions will score higher on the difficulty of working conditions.
The main advantage of the TIM Centar evaluation system is that it is fully adaptable to every industry and to the size and development level of any company. Scoring is carried out objectively by several assessors, leaving no room for bias. In addition to job evaluation, the service also offers consultation with management in order to achieve the fairest and most scrupulous use of the system.
